Logan's Run has become a bit dated over the years, but it sitll remains a fun, stylish piece of 1970s sci-fi. A seemingly utopian society of eternal youoth and rebirth is deconstructed in typical fashion to reveal the evil, human-squashing, totalitarian regime underlying it.

While it may seem a bit silly throughout, Logan's Run still provides a powerful exploration of eugenics and of societies build upon spectacle and pleasure. Pleasure numbs the majority of populace and keeps them content like keys keep a baby entertained.

But the endless sex and carefree lifestyles are revealed to be hollow shells that no longer contain the spark of the human. A good 70s sci-fi ride if you don't mide a bit of camp in your science fiction.
