Review of Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland (1989) by Garret S — 20 Apr 2008

If I'm not mistaken, this was actually one of the first "big budget" Japanese animation exports that made it over to the U.S. back in the 1980s (along with the likes of Akira). So, it's actually a fairly significant film.

That being said, while I'll never be willing to put this movie on the same pedestal as other animated works (Akira, countless others), I AM willing to suggest that this is actually one of the most underrated films of all time. It gets props for spawning another one of the most underrated creations of all time: the NES game, "Little Nemo: The Dream Master." Worth the time.
