Review of Little Fish (2005) by Gavin O — 05 Sep 2007
Blanchett alone (as we know) is worth the price of an admission ticket, but getting Weaving, Neill and the return of Noni Hazelhurst is also impressive. Rowan Woods perspective on a much worn-out subject is nothing fresh, and like most of it's nature manages to leave you quite depressed.
However, it still is incredibly powerful, this is including Blanchett's character Tracey listening to a children's choir covering 'Flame Trees' in a intense and powerful scene. Weaving is just outstanding, it's got to be seen to be believed.
I did however prefer 'Candy' (Neil Armfield's film from last year) which starred Ledger & Cornish.
