Review of Little Caesar (1931) by Vj B — 13 Jun 2007
One of the great film tragedies. Robinson is surpassingly brilliant in his human portrayal of a character that from all angles is supposed to seem a monster. One of the best early character studies, beautiful and fluent for an early talkie, and what's more it gave us an introduction to one of the most (if not THE most) brilliant and subtle actors in the history of the cinema.
