Review of Little Ashes (2008) by Gerald C — 26 Apr 2010
First of all, I didn't watch it because of Robert Pattinson. I do change my view of him after this though. the story of the master of surrealism, Salvador Dali and his forbidden lover at the time. it might be a happy ending if they meet each other in nowadays.
it's a disappointment actually. the story touches this and that, but never quite in a piece. when two talented artists met, I expected there would be sparkle, fire between them. it didn't show enough through out the movie.
i'm not even sure who exactly the movie focusing on. it's a blur. only few scenes please me with the passion music. the good bit is the colour in the film is strong, not like shocking strong or artistic way but it's a bright yet comfort colour, very Spanish, and I think Robert Pattinson do better than as Edward Cullen.
