Review of Lion (2015) by Josh W — 24 Jul 2017
So much crying. From me. Superbly told story, with music and editing that made it somewhat mesmerizing. The realism of the early scenes with children give way to Malick-like surrealism of childhood memories and adult emotions, then crescendos into a union of the two moods.
The only weak link is the story of the lovers which starts out believable, but drags on a bit, appearing to unintentionally depict a one-dimensional relationship.
