Amazing to see in theater. Well animated, sound design was lovely. It incorporates many small details from earlier pony episodes.

Only issues I had were subjective, a bit too much singing with 5 songs total and it felt like they tried to squeeze in too many new characters.

Worth seeing as a fan, and worth taking your child to if they like animated movies. There is very little backstory provided as the movie assumes viewers are already familiar with the ponies, but it's not terribly hard to follow along with no prior knowledge. If you're an adult that doesn't think candy colored talking ponies is a good idea this movie probably isn't for you.
