Review of Lincoln (2012) by Matt B — 06 Apr 2015
Steven Spielberg and Daniel Day Lewis make for an outstanding film on President Lincoln. Daniel Day Lewis is perfect as our nation`s most beloved president and Spielberg`s choice to not be too showy with his camera work proves that he should he recognized as a great and modest director.
Tony Kushner`s screenplay is as intense as it is intelligent and the film as a whole feels beautifully poetic. Arguably the greatest film of its kind that has ever been based on a president. Daniel Day Lewis and Steven Spielberg are modern marvels in cinema.
This film will be held as a classic.
