Review of Limelight (1952) by Jason M — 30 Dec 2008
A very tender and heartfelt film. The music is very beautiful. Chaplin not only wrote the music but helped choreograph the ballet as well, which is beautiful, although it does make the film drag in pacing.
Like Monsieur Verdoux, a great deal of the film is spent in Chaplin monologue, which is both great and yet, a little draining at times.
