Review of Limelight (1952) by Michael H — 24 Dec 2011
In many ways, with the long flashbacks to old vaudeville routines, this movie is structured in a way that shouldn't work - but it does. There are a few shots that are held too long which would have benefited from cutting away a few seconds earlier and Buster Keaton deserved a little more prominence during the time he is present in the movie but otherwise a pretty much flawless rumination about the life of an entertainer.
