Review of Like Water for Chocolate (1992) by Carol Gene R — 13 May 2009
What a lovely movie - so moving, tragic and romantic at the same time. Apparently at the turn of the century - Mexican tradition dictates the oldest daughter must stay home and take care of the mother until she dies.
She can never marry. The protagonist of the movie is a wonderful cook and this is how she gets thru these harsh times. Very good!!
