Review of Lights Out (2016) by George X — 10 Sep 2016
Nothing. Did absolutely nothing for me. No laughy. No scary. Just ghost physics. And a boring kid. And an unlikable big sister. And some tool jabroni slacker boyfriend guy.
OH NO A GHOST! AHH! Maybe my amygdala is broken, but if a scary movie doesn't make me crap my pants, then I don't know what purpose this film serves other than to throw a curveball into a four year old's budding conceptualization of physical reality.
It genuinely confuses me, (or concerns me?) that anybody over twelve years of age honestly finds this creepy, let alone entertaining.
Half a star because it wasn't as bad as that canker sore I've had on the tip of my tongue the last few days.
