Review of Life of Pi (2012) by Fábio I — 20 Jun 2014

I read the book first, loved it and as a result I was really reluctant to see the movie. I just couldn't see how a movie could capture the essence, the soul, of the words and the heart of the book.

Although the movie is very true to the book it's also different. Holds it's own essence, it's on soul. Obviously the cinematography of the movie is beyond anything my imagination could conjure up so there is that.

I really liked the movie but I loved the book.
