Review of Life of Pi (2012) by Arthur P — 21 Dec 2018
Definitely watchable if you are David Attenborough BBC Planet Earth fan because there are marine animal scenes that have never been captured on camera, although fleeting, the realistic CGI with marine animal with human teenage survivor is definitely worth it if you haven't seen a whale feed on seafood in the middle of the night.
Would have liked to see more of his aquatic skills by diving and swimming with the dolphins - or maybe some sea turtle looking for a ride by hitchhiking on his flimsy lifebuoy craft. Technically up there like Avatar, although Avatar had abundance of a variety of alien and animal species - but the story of survival with little marine animal species told is seen from the author's imagination.
Visually excellent with Panasonic's 4K player showing Full HD upscale of the 2D bluray movie through LG 65 inch 4K TV - and loud clear DTS audio through Yamaha 5 speaker home theatre mini system.
