Sometimes hilarious and others heartbreaking, Life is Beautiful is a modern masterpiece. Truly an amazing film. Benigni seems to be channeling Chaplin's wit and physicality. Life is Beautiful suggests optimism, hope, and love can persevere even through the most dire of situations.
