Review of Life Is Beautiful (1997) by Harrison W — 19 Feb 2017

I don't know if I've ever inspire-cried before. This movie was not only beautifully edited/shot, but it NAILS the tonal shifts perfectly. Even for all the over-the-top humor which sometimes falls flat with this kind of slapstick stuff, it never really feels cringey.

There's just so much damn heart to this film. It doesn't linger too long on the brutal stuff, but lets you know how powerful it is.
