Review of Life, Animated (2016) by Grant W — 31 Dec 2016
Oh my, what a wonderful piece of work. As the credits started rolling I started sobbing. I had read part of the book beforehand, so I thought I knew what to expect, but I was not prepared for the beauty that I was about to witness.
It was not only a superb narrative, but it put its subjects on a level that made me feel like I was an old friend. Owen is a remarkable young man who's story is so heart-warming and inspiring, and I'm glad it was placed in the hands of a director who handled it with such grace.
The addition of Owen's "sidekick" story as its own short-film was brilliant. Owen's life is indeed animated, and I won't stop crying over it for a while now.
