If you took all of the good design out of Alien you get a movie like Life. Which in my opinion is just a testament to how great the design in Alien is that you know every twist and turn but THAT still scares the shit outta you. Where as Life became very ho-hum after the initial death.
Shoulda just named this one Mean Octopus From Mars.
