Review of Lie with Me (2004) by Nathan M — 14 Feb 2008
Outstanding. I don't think there was dialog for the first maybe 20 minutes. So much communicated w/o words. The main character here is emotionally detached due to an overreliance on physical pleasures.
Eventually she finds a guy she actually develops feelings for, but doesn't know how to deal with those feelings or even express them. Seems like something anyone can relate to who has something (work, school, sports, music, sex) that robs them from attention to the emotional in their relationships.
It's very definitely an erotic film, however.
