Review of Leviathan (1989) by Adam C — 09 Jun 2011
This movie is awesome in a bad way. Not in a good way but in a way that's just awful. The story line was messed up. It should've been directed better. They waited til like the end of the movie to show the Leviathan and the next scene, it's dead.
The Storyline and monster were both messed up. Isn't the Leviathan supposed to be a creature that lives in the water, not some kind of a genetic alternative? The direction of this film was not so good.
They could've done better if it had a better director to dierct the movie better. I give this movie a "C" for Disappointing. It really is a disappointing film because you think that the whole crew is being attacked by an underwater creature that no one has ever seen before but instead, it's about this genetic alternative that grows into a Leviathan from it's host.
The acting didn't seem to be all that great. This movie wasn't all that good. I can see why people on YouTube say that this movie is bad and it's true. You're just sitting in your seat and you're like "Well, we're waiting!" because you're waiting for the creature to finally show itself.
Instead, they waited to close to the end of the movie to show the monster. The direction of this movie isn't all that good. They should've showed the creature often but they did not do such a thing while making the movie.
This movie derseves a better director to direct the movie a lot better. Once again, it gets "C" for disappointing. There is plenty of poor effort into this film. Two stars is that it gets from me.
I didn't like it because the story line was just bad.
