Review of Let's Scare Jessica to Death (1971) by Brett B — 16 Sep 2011
If this had a better, more cohesive story, I'd be comfortable calling it a fantastic exercise in mood, but as it stands, the movie just doesn't add up to much; while I appreciated its borderline-cerebral approach to this sort of material, it just isn't executed with enough flair to forgive the fact that the plot goes, essentially, nowhere.
For lovers of unsettling atmosphere, though, this one's got that in spades.
