Review of Lethal Weapon 2 (1989) by Aaron D — 21 Jun 2009
This one was significantly better than the first. For those that are asking me, "Why Aaron? the sequel is never as good as the first one?" I'll respond, "Well, imaginary non believer, Lethal Weapon 2 allows you the convenience of understanding the relationship that Martin and Roger have, and also helps allow you to get acclaimated to the fact that every scene someone dies or something explodes in it.
" I would probably also point out that while it is sad that the really hot South African chick dies (spoiler! sorry!), they didn't kill her before she had 3 or 4 sex scenes. Though you could say that having a bad guy with diplomatic immunity is cheating, and cheap, I think it adds to the random obscurity that this movie is.
Really, what crook would wire a bomb to a toilet seat? South African bad guys, that's who! On top of that, you have some great sarcasm in the face of danger, and you get to see Danny Glover utter some badass lines for a change.
