Review of Let It Be (1970) by Jose P — 03 Oct 2007
So it's easy to forget that when you're listening to say, "Dig a Pony," that what you're hearing isn't some obvious manifestation of perfection into a series of repeating sound waves, but rather a song that was written by someone, and, more importantly, rehearsed to sound the way it does.
This film chronicles the band working together, but at the same time shows them falling apart, culminating into the rooftop concert at the end which nearly brought me to tears, thinking how it was their last show together.
As far as the film itself goes, it's very well edited, never focusing too much on any one incident, and keeping the general theme the music and not the tensions rising. Just seeing John's face is enough to get that idea.
In all, the film is a must watch if you like the idea of air vibrating rhythmically (i.e. music).
