Review of Les Misérables (1998) by Amanda O — 20 Jul 2009
"Les Miserables" is based on the classic novel by Victor Hugo. In the story, a criminal is given a second chance and starts a new life for himself. However, his past catches up to him and he is soon faced with pleading for his life and freedom from someone who is intent on bringing him to justice.
This film has strong messages of redemption and forgiveness. It's a long movie, but well worth the watch!
