Review of Les Misérables (1998) by Megan B — 24 Dec 2013
How did I manage to miss this version !!?? But good things come to those who wait!! It's a very different vibe without the music and song, but nonetheless a great story!! Liam Neeson plays a fantastic Valjean... Albeit a tad more bad tempered and a little more rugged than the other two representations I have seen!!
Uma Thurman as Fantine... Just didn't compute... But she made a fantastic job of the role, and it's a shame Fantine doesn't make a return in the end of the film version as she does the musical!!
Still however, thoroughly enjoyed!!! The tiniest application of poetic license can make the biggest of changes... But still couldn't take my eyes off the screen from beginning to end!!!
