A modge-podge of previous films like 'Constantine', 'The Prophecy', and even a little bit of 'The Terminator'. Creates a really interesting atmosphere, especially early on.

Backed by a solid cast of known but under the radar actors who carry their weight for the most part. I've always liked Dutton in particular, and he probably delivers the best performance of anyone here. The concept is interesting, all be it a tad unoriginal.

Where the movie struggles is its visuals, and its penchant for attempting novelty. For example, the scene with the ice-cream man. Personally, I found that to be unnecessary, and a clear (and hilariously stupid) attempt to create a lasting impression. As said, the visuals are a major flaw here. In fact, I would venture to say they are pretty awful. They instantly remove any moderate level of realism or suspension of disbelief.

Another major issue is the pacing. Starting rather intimately, and then instantaneously becomes an action piece filled with chases, explosions, gunfire and slow-mo hand to hand combat scenes. Alot of half-baked plot details are inserted and then glanced over. Some of which could have added alot to the story had they been properly utilized.

What confuses me a bit is that the film does seem to have a clue, but then chooses to ignore it. Drags alot toward the end, even though this was clearly the part of the movie which was supposed to drag you in. I found the first half hour a far far superior portion. Does some of things right, at least right enough for me to consider it entertaining and worth seeing once.
