Review of Legend (2015) by Paul B — 14 Sep 2015

I was surprised by how engaging this was. In London gangster folklore the Krays have always stood out so it was a difficult job to portray them and once again Hardy excels playing both twins even if this plays out more as their legend than their reality.

Hardy turned this into a good pop culture London gangster film rather than a true imitation of the brothers but its still worth watching. There's a lot of his Peaky Blinders role rehashed for the Krays and noticeably half the cast is the same but still it's an entertaining if overly sympathetic portrayal of these two crude and rather nasty brothers.

Could have gone horribly wrong but good effort.
