Review of Leaving Las Vegas (1995) by Kasey C — 28 Apr 2013
Leaving Las Vegas. Elisabeth Shue is incredible. She's always been a good actress and she was great in this. Not to mention her being the single most beautiful woman on the planet. This is a good look for Cage as well being that he is very 50/50 when it comes to acting.
The movie itself is a total depressant but a love story. It's like the Notebook on Heroin. Loved it because it was raw and pretty accurate in the sense that those two types of people are naturally drawn to each other because they are both such incredible screw-ups, yet good people at heart.
One of the most dysfunctional couples in film and the movie itself was a solid love story. Many redeeming qualities. 7.5/10.
