Review of Leaving Las Vegas (1995) by Nate B — 28 Aug 2009
This is one of those movies you will remember for the acting. Nicolas Cage deserved that Oscar for his portrayal of a suicidal alcoholic and Elisabeth Shue needs more recognition for her role. Some parts were disturbing and at times I thought it does for alcohol what Requiem for a Dream did for drugs.
It's a good drama and I recommend seeing it.
