Review of Leaving Las Vegas (1995) by Adam P — 15 Jun 2011
This is a movie about life without hope. It's not easy to watch, but I think it's very important to realize that there are many people who want nothing more than to die, even when they can't fathom suicide.
As a film it is well done. Some of the editing is a little self-involved and the last shot is too Lifetime for my taste, but the opening gave me literal chills. Of course, I'm a sucker for a delayed title sequence.
Never gets old.
