Review of Leaves of Grass (2009) by Brandon C — 30 Sep 2010
I'm sure this has been said by all other reviews, but this is extremely, Coen-esque. That isn't a bad thing, because with Edward Norton laying down two top notch leading performances and Nelson's directing, it's a very entertaining film.
What threw me off was every time I would get into a scene, I would totally forget I'm not watching a Coen Bros. movie, and then when I expected something to happen that I would expect in a Coen bros.
movie, it would almost always go the other way, and usually it wasn't as good as what I expected. If you like Fargo, Lebowski, or Norton you'll like this.
