Review of Leaves of Grass (2009) by Liz — 16 Oct 2010
To tell you the truth I don't exactly know how I feel about "Leaves of Grass". The film had moments where you would laugh out loud, and it had moments where your eyes were glued to the screen, but there was also something very uniteresting about the film.
Everything seemed very anticlimactic. Certain moments that should've been intense were... well just there. Other moments that should've made you want to cry were... again, just there. But Edward Norton, Susan Sarandon, Keri Russel, and Tim Blake Nelson were all completely pefect.
The thing that was confusing, and most disappointing was the writing that Nelson did, but his directing and acting were still top notch. I just found the ending especially very dry. There wasn't much going on in the movie that ever got a conclusion, or any catharsis.
Overall, I can't tell you if it was worth it, or not. I guess you'll just have to see it for yourself.
