Review of Leave No Trace (2018) by Tor M — 19 Dec 2018
A father and his daughter is living in the wood. Very primitive surroundings, but they enjoy life that way. People catch them - this is not an acceptable way of raising someone, so they get unwanted help. They move around and we get to join they're journey.
A very unpredicable film with a solid score and a nice pace. It's a bit mysterious even if you never really need all the answers to enjoy this one.
Thomasin McKenzie is doing an amazing performance here. It's no wonder she is compared to Jennifer Lawrence here, as Lawrence also had a very early go with director Debra Granik. She shined in the incredible "Winters Bone", here it's all about McKenzie.
A perfect mid-autumn film that looks very good and gives me a nice feel like the mentioned "Winters Bone" did. The underrated actor Ben Foster is also doing a solid part here and I found this film very rewarding and it did not dissapoint me one bit.
8 out of 10 rabbits.
