Review of Leap (2017) by Michelle C — 01 Sep 2017
I loved the "sidekick" (Victor) in this movie. I did not love how the main character treated her best friend (the sidekick). Everything about this movie was too fast-paced and over-the-top taken from reality (training, dreaming, dance moms, orphanages).
If this movie happened over the span of 3 years, I would have loved it, but it took place over maybe 3 weeks, which is just ridiculous!!! I took ballet lessons for at least 3 years of my young life (ages 7-9 maybe?) -- It was part of my gymnastics training -- and there was no way I could have gotten on toe point in that first month! Being a talented dancer is one thing, but you cannot get on toe point without a LOT more training!
