Review of Leap (2017) by Laura B — 19 Dec 2017
Offensive. I watched the first couple minutes of this movie and had to turn it off. The "mean man" overseeing the boys in the orphanage was portrayed with bilateral amblyopia (lazy eye). His eye condition was then made fun of by one of the main characters with the comment, "I can't tell where you're looking".
I had to turn off the movie. I have a 2 year old daughter with this eye condition. Imagine the psychological damage that would ensue after a child watched a movie where the villain is portrayed with their same medical condition.
I can't believe in 2017 it is considered acceptable to make fun of someone's congenital malformation.
