Overall a very lazy movie. The script is tugged safely in the Disney formula full of artificial sweetener. Here are some major problems: (1) The cliched storyline and stereotypical characters (grumpy old man befriends innocent girl both lonely with "love issues").
(2) The entire journey is unadventurous and unexciting. Minimal character and relationship development. (3) The underlying moral preaching (eg anti-abortion). (4) The happy ending is both perfunctory and corny.
Mind you, what do you expect from such a predictable "little cute sweet" film?
