Review of Backcountry (2015) by Jen T — 19 Dec 2015
This was one of those Red Box movie picks when you can't find anything new but wow- so glad we got it. It had some pretty good reviews from the Red Box users so we gave it a chance. It's a low budget film based in the Canadian woods and it's an edge-of-the-seat flick that will make you close your eyes during a few of the gory attack scenes! I think it was very good at building up the suspense and it's one of the scarier things I have seen in a very long time and also because it is something that could happen- not some silly slasher Hollywood nonsense.
I about broke my boyfriends hand while watching and was very disturbed by ow realistic it was (I'm also a nurse and had a difficult time watching it) The only thing I wasn't too happy with was the abrupt ending but when you think about it, where else did it have to go.
It's a good 90 minutes of entertainment.
