Review of Idiocracy (2006) by Jen T — 05 Jun 2015
A series of sketches essentially strung together by a narrator in order to make the story comprehensible to the lowest common denominator. Sadly, the film will not inspire anyone to become smarter ala "Tomorrowland" or "Interstellar".
But it is a clever look at humanity's inevitable future. We are getting dumber. Eventually humanity will not be able to care of itself. Sadly, this warning is told through broad comedy, which wasn't quite to my taste.
A great message film though and clear why it is one of the most referenced films made in this century.
