Christ where do I begin with this car crash of a movie?
Directed (thrown together?) by Stephen Frears, he of 'Dangerous Liasons', 'Tamara Drewe' and 'High Fidelity' (yes the fabulous 'High Fidelity') words cannot describe the hideousness of this stinking turd.
A small town 'dancer' head to Vegas to make money as a cocktail waitress (Dad's chuffed-I'm not kidding, this is the level of this shite), she hooks up with an illegal bookmaker (Bruce Willis) and boredom, bad acting prevail for 90 minutes.
Bruce Willis is Bruce Willis, love the guy and he's only saving grace, Vince Vaughan plays the same character he has for 15 years since 'Swingers', Catherine Zeta Jone looks like the bride from 'Bride Of Frankenstein' and as for lead Rebecca Hall..where do I begin??
One of the most wooden performances I can remember, how did this woman get a job, yes the screenplay/dialogue is awful but her performance actually makes it worse, dipsy and dumb but never in an endearing way....
"I'm gonna stab you in the groin artery with a steak knife.... then watch you DIE.. whilst I watch TV...you horrible person!!".
