Review of Lay the Favorite (2012) by Borhan K — 04 Apr 2013
This is an alright movie. This movie is nowhere near perfect and it is a weak comedy in general, but it tries so hard to get the viewer to care about the story. The movie eventually succeeds but it takes some time.
The acting was pretty good. Rebecca Hall does a great job as the main character. Sometimes the acting seemed too awkward but I'll attribute that to the script not being well written. Definitely worth the rent.
