Review of Gambler's Choice (1944) by Greg W — 16 Mar 2013
A cop and his crook and ambitious casino buddy fall in love with the same girl from their childhood while in trouble with the law and the Manhattan gambling business. It starts off as a hidden gem of the crime genre, with an interesting set up and snappy dialogue, but dies out towards the end when its rushed production values and formulaic plot developments start showing.
