This film is about the true story of T. E. Lawrence and his role in helping the Arabs against the Turks during WWI. This epic film won seven Academy Awards. It made actor Peter O'Toole a movie star.
Plus the film has a great supporting cast with Alec Guinness, Jack Hawkins, Anthony Quinn, Omar Sharif, José Ferrer, Claude Rains and Arthur Kennedy. The film shows the ambition and struggles of T. E.
Lawrence trying to bring the Arabs together against the Turks. By the end of the film T. E. Lawrence is not the same man.The film is very long. Over three hours if you include the intermission. The film story is quite interesting.
Peter O'Toole brings this complicated man T.E. Lawrence to life. Not sure how historically accurate the film is. But either way it was a interesting film. The cinematography is beautiful and stills holds up to film made currently.
Overall this was a solid film. I can see why this film won so many awards back in the day. If you can get past the long time span of the film you should enjoy this. Well worth the time to watch.
