Review of Lawrence of Arabia (1962) by Man Cole P — 31 Jul 2013
I was really impressed with this movie. Even though I saw it on the small screen, I could still appreciate the sweeping landscape shots and gorgeous soundtrack. Despite no love story and very little action, Lawrence of Arabia is still a great epic thanks in large part to the conflict within Lawrence himself (Played brilliantly by Peter O'Toole). Who is Lawrence? To which nation does he belong? The solution to this identity crisis is left up to the viewer to decide. There is so much to like and so much to see and hear in this film that I will no doubt be seeing it again, and it is deservedly considered one of the greatest films ever made.
Grade: A.
