Review of L'Avventura (1960) by Matt M — 06 Jan 2013
A woman investigates the more or less disappearance of a more or less friend. A master work of alienation, which also happened to be one of Antonioni's favoured themes, L'Avventura also studies upper class boredom and the fear of disappearance by following the half hearted 'adventures' of a group of jaded socialites.
