I wanted to see this movie because of Christian Bale, but I really didn't like anything about it. We're not given much of a reason to care about the characters, and the storylines (such as they are) are all over the map.
Ultimately it all leads nowhere; I felt frustrated as a viewer. The top-notch cast has done much better work in other movies.
