Review of Laurel Canyon (2003) by Amanda H — 19 Jan 2012

I really can't say why I like this movie, but I do. It's not because it really ever goes anywhere- it doesn't. It's not because any of the characters are particularly likeable- they're not.

I didn't walk away from it feeling enlightened, or even particularly entertained, but somehow I still found myself absorbed. Maybe because it's nice to feel like someone's family is a bigger mess than mine? I don't know.

But even though it shouldn't be good, it is.
