The clash of a rock & roll crew who won't apologise for their behaviour and the character of Christian Bale, who is trying hard to be as perfect as noone can ever be, linked by the mother-son relationship between McDormand and Bale.
It is such an interesting and easy setting for Beckinsale's character to lose her way.
