Review of L'Atalante (1934) by Stella D — 01 Dec 2008
Let me first preface by saying I generally dislike French-made films, possibly because there are some things I may not understand about the French culture. L'Atalante had some funny scenes, but the story was boring and filled with "french romance", which I find to be too surrealistic and fantastical to be entertaining.
By the end of the film, I felt as though there was no progression or change, making it seem almost pointless.
