Review of Last Tango in Paris (1972) by Max O — 12 Oct 2009
Brando was the greatest actor there ever was, and this is him at his finest. Gato Barbieri's sultry jazz score perfectly matches all of Brando's outburts, ramblings, and sorrow. Forget Don Corleone, forget Terry Malloy, forget Stanley Kowalski, or even Col.
Kurtz. Those are all great performances in great movies, but this is the role Brando was born to play.
