Review of Last Night (1998) by Stella D — 08 Nov 2010
What a strange and touching apocalypse story. They never mention why the world is going to end -- though there is a clue in that the sun never sets anymore and I suspect some kind of supernova or something.
It was a human interest story more than anything and some of the scenes were really deep -- the guy who was fulfilling all his sexual fantasies kissing his boyhood pal awkwardly being one of the best.
My only beef with this film is that the actors and extras were overwhelmingly white -- just one Chinese woman and a black woman were the only non-white faces to be seen. That made the movie feel rather student film-ish.
